Currently designing at Cetec ERP, turning complexity into clarity

Nice to Meet You!

My name is I’m Emmaline. I’m a designer based in Austin, Texas, graduating Spring 2026 with a BFA in Communication Design from Texas State University.

My Experience so far:

I currently work at Cetec ERP, a B2B SaaS company building ERP software for small and mid-sized manufacturers.

My work focuses on untangling complex, often niche workflows and turning them into experiences that feel clear and intuitive. I care about designing tools that help people move from confusion to clarity and make their day-to-day work a little easier.

I worked full-time over the summer of 2025 and during that time I introduced the concept of talking to users, seeing their environments, and getting feedback from them. I wrapped up the summer with a company-wide presentation of my Work Order project. I was super excited when I was invited to continue on in a part-time capacity when school started in the fall.

As a Designer I…

I’m most energized when design feels collaborative. I value bringing together different perspectives, working closely with users and stakeholders, and creating systems that help people feel aligned and understood.

At Cetec, this has meant diving into user research, talking directly with users about their workflows, and translating complex processes into tools that feel intuitive and approachable.

That mindset carries into the work I do outside of UX as well. I’ve led Texas State University's student design organization, Design Guild, helped organize our department’s annual design seminar, and collaborated across committees to shape our Senior Exit Review experience. All in all, I love creating work that feels thoughtful and collaborative.

When I'm Not Designing:

Outside of design, I make art, almost always about horses. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with screenprinting!
